Job Description As a Security Officer - X-Ray Screener in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment by monitoring entrances, conducting x-ray screening, and interacting with visitors and staff. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. This position may require driving duties. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.45 / Hour Job Schedule:DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 03:00 PMTue06:00 AM - 03:00 PMWed06:00 AM - 03:00 PMThur06:00 AM - 03:00 PMFri06:00 AM - 03:00 PMWhy Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.What You'll Do:Carry out screening procedures for individuals entering the location, following site-specific policies and protocols.Provide customer service by assisting visitors and staff with questions and guidance related to entry procedures.Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed according to established protocols.Document and report any irregularities, suspicious activity, or incidents in accordance with site requirements.Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and on-site personnel to maintain a secure environment.Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while performing screening duties.Minimum Requirements:A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.Candidates must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.Candidates must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
