OverviewWatertown Golf Club is seeking a seasonal PGA Member or Apprentice to join our team as an Assistant Golf Professional. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head Golf Professional, the Professional Staff, and club management to deliver a high level of service to our members and guests. Active involvement in PGA programs, education, and professional development is strongly encouraged and supported. Position Overview The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for supporting all aspects of the daily golf operation, including customer service, golf shop operations, and tournament management.Experience RequiredQualifications & Skills PGA Member or Apprentice preferred; ongoing PGA engagement and professional development expected and encouraged. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Commitment to customer service and member engagement. Teaching and club-fitting experience a plus. Essential ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities Assist with golf shop operations, including retail management and merchandising. Deliver friendly, professional, and consistent service to members and guests. Support merchandising efforts, including display, organization, and inventory. Assist with the planning and execution of a comprehensive tournament schedule. Support the Head Golf Professional in the daily management of golf operations. Assist in providing Operation 36 programming with juniors, women, and beginning golfers. Assist in coaching a PGA Junior League team. Engage in member play days and foster positive relationships on the course. Communicate and reinforce club policies such as rules, pace of play, and dress code.
