Position Overview:The Director of Marketing and Admissions manages the community inquiry andadmission process and provides customers with community-related information via community tours, personal visits/assessment, conversations, and follow-up. The DOMA coordinates and implements effective sales and marketing programs with the team.Key Responsibilities:Respond to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources.Conduct community tours.Manage the admission process by maintaining updated bed availability and community services information at all times.Manage the inquiry process professionally, timely, and with appropriate follow-up.Effectively manage occupancy levels and census/premium mix enhancement.Make calls to outside the community (medical, insurance, legal, and financialprofessionals, and senior organizations, appropriate special interest groups, hospitaldischarge planners, and other community contacts).Develop and maintain relationships to advice referral sources of bed availability and new product and services.Maintain current database of existing and potential referral sources.Utilize company’s sales practices and sales tracking tools.Alert appropriate department heads and community staff of projected changes: i.e., admissions, bed changes, and discharges, through daily admission meeting to discuss forthcoming changes.Utilize bed management principles.Maintain a close working relationship with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) and the Business Office Manager (BOM) to assure appropriate and efficient decisions about prospective admissions.Recommend admission decisions to community management.Coordinate the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans, serves as a chairperson for marketing team meetings, monitor budgets and tracks results.Maintain a working knowledge of state and federal regulations and reimbursementguidelines (Medicare and Medicaid).Qualifications:Associate and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Communications field preferred.Two years equivalent experience in a sales/marketing position or AdmissionsCoordinator position in lieu of degree.Previous healthcare community relations’ experience preferred.Bluegrass Benefits:Quarterly Pay IncreaseDaily PayCompany-Paid Life InsuranceTelehealth ServicesCare Team Member Relief Fund Join the Bluegrass Care team where compassion meets excellence#BlueNonMed
