Position Description The Washington University Division of Basic Research (DBR) in the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor. The ideal candidate has five or more years of post-graduate training and complements the current research goals of the DBR, with a focus on membrane mechanisms of ion channels in conditions related to anesthesiology. The prospective candidate should be an accomplished ion channel biophysicist and physiologist interested in understanding how ion channels influence neural and epithelial cells during homeostasis and inflammation. The successful candidate should have an in-depth understanding of molecular mechanisms of regulation of ion channel function and their implication in cellular physiology.Washington University is committed to the recruitment of candidates traditionally underrepresented on university faculties.
