Computer Science Postdoctoral Fellow

Description :The Department of Computer Science in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow. The appointment is a 12-month term position, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding availability, and will commence on October 15, 2024.Applicants should hold a PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field on or before October 1, 2024. The project focuses on conducting cutting-edge research in spatial and temporal data analysis using advanced machine learning technologies. The successful candidate will become a part of an interdisciplinary team working to develop machine learning techniques for remote sensing and uncertainty estimation. Candidates must have a strong programming background.Requirements:PhD in Computer Science or a related field with a strong emphasis on machine learning.Proficiency in using PyTorch and other machine learning libraries for developing and implementing machine learning models is essential.Ability to prepare comprehensive written reports, including the use of text and graphics to convey information clearly.Publication record in relevant scientific journals.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Salary for the position is $65,000.
