This position involves mentoring and guiding student teachers/residents through their clinical practice in elementary and early childhood settings.Essential Duties Supervise and support student teachers in their residency placements. Conduct regular observational assessments. Facilitate team review meetings with student teachers, cooperating teachers, and program faculty. Provide ongoing mentoring and professional guidance. Evaluate student teacher performance and progress. Reliable personal transportation for travel to various school sites. Daytime availability to accommodate school schedules and observational visits. Occasional DutiesRequired Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesRequired Qualifications Degree in Elementary or Early Childhood Education. Current Rhode Island teacher certification. Proven classroom teaching experience in PreK-3 or K-6. Previous experience supervising clinical students or student teachers. Preferred QualificationsEnvironmental ConditionsTeaching/instruction is performed in a traditional classroom setting.
