Position Overview:The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting the organization’s network infrastructure. This role will work closely with the IT Infrastructure team to ensure network systems are robust, secure, and efficient, supporting the organization’s operations and growth. The engineer will manage network devices, ensure optimal performance, and implement best practices to maintain a resilient network environment. Key Responsibilities: Network Design & Implementation: • Design and implement network solutions, including LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and wireless networks, to meet the organization's needs. • Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. • Ensure network architecture is scalable and supports the organization’s growth and evolving requirements. Network Maintenance & Optimization: • Monitor network performance to ensure high availability and reliability. • Identify and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime. • Optimize network configurations to improve efficiency and reduce latency. Security & Compliance: • Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs. • Ensure the network complies with industry standards and internal security policies. • Serve as a member of the security team to address vulnerabilities and enhance network security. Project & Change Management: • Participate in network-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments. • Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices to ensure the organization uses cutting-edge network solutions. Documentation & Reporting: • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, and changes. • Provide regular reports on network performance, incidents, and improvements. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. • 3+ years of experience in network engineering or a related role. • Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF). • Experience with network devices from vendors such as SecureWorks, Palo Alto Networks, and Juniper. • Proficiency in network troubleshooting and diagnostic tools. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or other relevant certifications. • Experience with network security tools and technologies. • Familiarity with cloud networking in platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS.
