As the Product Lead for Payments Risk, you will own the controls, systems, policies, and automation that ensure the safety, integrity, and compliance of those flows.You’ll partner closely with the Risk, Compliance, and Data Science teams to design and deliver tools, rules engines, and integrations that detect and prevent fraud, assess credit risk, and maintain AML compliance. This includes building out a modern infrastructure for automated underwriting, transaction monitoring, and AI/ML-driven risk evaluation across Rippling’s suite of products.Your work will directly shape how Rippling balances rapid innovation with financial integrity—ensuring that every transaction and account on the platform is both seamless and secure.What you will doOwn the product vision and roadmap for Rippling’s risk, compliance, and underwriting decisioning systemsDesign and scale internal tools and automation frameworks to support credit evaluations, fraud detection, and AML compliance, across all of Rippling’s financial productsBuild a unified payments risk platform that includes case management, rules engines, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening systemsImplement ML and AI-based systems to power real-time risk scoring, anomaly detection, and dynamic underwriting decisionsWork closely with Risk and Compliance stakeholders and represent the user in discussions around policy implementations and regulatory frameworksLead data and engineering teams to improve financial integrity through better signals, models, and data pipelinesWork cross-functionally across product, finance, and operations to align risk mitigation with customer experience and product velocityWhat you will need5+ years of product management, operations, and/or founding experience3+ years working in payments or fintech, or otherwise working in decisioning systems, data pipelines, or general platform capabilities that directly affect user experiences. Ability to understand credit risk, fraud risk, AML policies, and financial controls Self-starter with a bias towards action and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to work on multiple products and features at once, across teamsThrives in understanding complexity and transforming it into simple user experiencesDeep technical, analytical, and problem solving skills Exceptional interpersonal communication & organizational skillsStrong ability to motivate and inspire people to do their best workRelentlessly focused on customers’ needsStrong alignment with Rippling's leadership principles, particularly “Push the limits of possible,”  “Challenge each other directly,” and “Go and see”Additional InformationRippling is an equal opportunity employer.
