Watch EngineerWe are seeking a Watch Engineer near the Gulf Coast. They will be assigned to work on a Hydraulic Dredge to be responsible for all of the mechanical and electrical equipment, motors and engines onboard the vessel. They often work alongside the Chief Engineer on a project when repairs are needed. They perform many routine tasks such as hooking up hoses, cleaning up and assisting with fuel transfer operations. They will troubleshoot with the Chief Engineer and other crew members when conducting a repair or to determine a malfunction. They make periodic checks and visually inspects equipment such as, but not limited to: engines, motors, pumps, batteries, gauges and valves. They will maintain logs, ledgers and work orders regarding the overall performance of the dredge’s equipment by monitoring various computer devices, meters, and gauges. May lift, carry, pull or push items weighing up to 75 lbs. when assisting with repairs, the length of the vessel, and below deck.About the Company:Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation is the largest provider of dredging services in the United States.
