Then work at a nonprofit People's Express is looking for Evening PortersAt People's Express, We are looking for an experienced Evening Porter to join our team. In this role, you will move and park cars on our lot. As a porter, your duties include keeping track of parked vehicles and making sure that the parking lot is neat and presentable.To ensure success as a porter, you should exhibit safe driving skills and have experience working with customers at a dealership. Ultimately, a top-notch porter is someone who can be entrusted with valuable property.Role and ResponsibilitiesAdministrative Work with maintenance coordinator to prioritize vehicle maintenance repairsAssist maintenance coordinator with strategic maintenance plans and budgetingMaintain accurate activity and all applicable records of vehicle related documentsMonitor and follow maintenance schedulesOperationsPerform maintenance repairs within scope of skills on vehicles and other machinery when necessaryCoordinate transportation to and from repair shopsCoordinate the picking up of supplies for repairsPreparation and coordination of all inspections of vehiclesEnsure all vehicles maintain a clean and professional look in the interior and exteriorEnsure all vehicles are safe to be operated on the roadKeeps supervisor informed of status and informs team of any significant issues on a timely basisPartner CommunicationsCoordinate with other maintenance technicians about their maintenance programsKeep good working relations with local vendors and other business partnersCommunicate with local and statewide transportation providers to be up to dateon programs and tools for maintenancePorter Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.Demonstrable experience as a porter, or similar.Valid driver's license and a good driving record.Working knowledge of basic car maintenance would be advantageous.Ability to assume responsibility for the valuable property of customers and the dealership.Willingness to learn and to perform a wide range of allocated tasks.Ability to take accurate notes regarding vehicle movements and vehicle conditions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Willingness to work irregular business hours, including evening hours, weekends, and holidays.Job Types: Part-timeHours: 3pm - 8pm/4pm - 9pmPay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hourWork Location: In personJob Posted by ApplicantPro
