Job Description: General Summary of Function/Purpose of Position: Review and understand State of Michigan Department of Education, and LIO policies and procedures as it relates to SIGMA financial system entries. . Evaluate documents for accuracy and completeness and coordinate corrections when needed. . Complete data entry in SIGM and coordinate with staff to ensure accurate and timely processing of documents. . Answer inquiries regarding functions and rules related to SIGMA including vendor registration and payment status. . Prepare and maintain spreadsheets and reports used to track and monitor programmatic and financial activities. Software: SIGMA, Outlook, EXCEL, Planner, Sharepoint, Quickbooks, and other accounting / financial software skill/experience is a plus. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, precedents and terminology used in the work. Knowledge of the techniques of using reference materials and organizing data for reports. Knowledge of the techniques of interviewing and of obtaining information. Knowledge of organizations, work flow, staffing, forms and procedures. Ability to use a microcomputer may be required for certain positions. Ability to abstract and present significant facts from data. Ability to interpret and apply complex laws, rules and regulations. Ability to analyze data and operations and make recommendations for change. Ability to conduct training and information sessions. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to maintain favorable public relations. Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to determine work priorities. Ability to allocate work to other Departmental Technicians and support staff in a work area. Ability to organize and coordinate the departmental technician activities of a specific work area.
