馃殌Join JRC's Missiles & Space Team 聽 We are seeking a mission-driven聽Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)聽to聽support Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This role is critical in ensuring the cybersecurity integrity of classified and unclassified systems across the system development lifecycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will have deep experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and secure systems engineering. 馃捈What You'll Do Serve as the lead ISSE for DoD systems, ensuring compliance with聽DoDI 8510.01,聽NIST SP 800-53, and聽CNSSI 1253. Develop and maintain聽System Security Plans (SSPs),聽Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and聽Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms). Conduct聽security architecture reviews,聽vulnerability assessments, and聽risk analyses聽for DoD systems. Collaborate with system engineers, developers, and ISSMs to integrate cybersecurity into system design and implementation. Support聽Authorization to Operate (ATO)聽efforts under the DoD RMF process. Apply聽STIGs,聽SRGs, and other DoD security baselines to system configurations. Interface with聽Authorizing Officials (AOs),聽Security Control Assessors (SCAs), and other government stakeholders. Provide mentorship to junior cybersecurity engineers and contribute to internal process improvement. 馃What You Bring Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 8+ years聽of experience in Information System Engineering (ISE), with at least聽5 years supporting DoD systems. An active聽Secret聽clearance with the ability to obtain a聽Top Secret/SCI. Strong knowledge of聽DoD RMF,聽NIST SP 800-37/53,聽DoDI 8500.01, and聽DoDI 8510.01. Experience with聽tools such as聽ACAS,聽HBSS,聽SCAP Compliance Checker, and聽Splunk. Proficiency in applying聽DISA STIGs聽and conducting聽STIG Viewer聽assessments. Industry certifications such as聽CISSP,聽CISM,聽CCSP, or government equivalent certification. 猸怋onus Points for... A master鈥檚 degree in Cybersecurity or related discipline. Experience with聽classified systems,聽cross-domain solutions (CDS), and聽SCIF environments. Familiarity with聽DevSecOps,聽container security, and聽cloud security聽(AWS GovCloud, Azure Government). Experience supporting聽DoD acquisition programs聽and working with聽System Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs).
