Responsibilities:

The Financial Auditor will perform the following duties:

Perform A-123, compliance, internal control and forensic audits, reviews, and assessments in areas such as finance/accounting, grants, IT, capital construction, contract compliance, and third part administratorsReview account and departmental transactions (activity control) and ensure suspense items are reconciled and recorded in a complete, accurate and timelyReview approval processesDocument the auditing process using common standards of practice, company policies, business goals and industry regulationsIndicate areas where risk is found in order to generate a more complete picture of financial responsibilityAnalyze adherence with budgetary standards and guidelines using financial data and balance sheetsReview all financial materials and procedures in order to spot errors, inefficiencies or instances of misuseConfirm an organization's financial status by reviewing databases and other financial sources of informationDocument all internal processes within an audit; list all data sources; detail all conclusions after an investigationUpdate the internal organization's team members with periodic status reports, meetings and other important developments; publish a report after completing an inquiryWork to develop new standards of practice within a company in order to increase accounting accuracy and integrityProvide required assistance Reflect on historical and current budgetary trends found in the dataMaintain a high level of knowledge and expertise within the field by participating in professional development

An Ideal Candidate has:

US CitizenshipEducation: Bachelor's degree or higher in a business field (e.g., Accounting, Finance) and CPA/CFSA certifications.Minimum eight years of financial auditing experience supporting the federal government or Fortune 100 firms.
