Description SummaryWe looking for a new Industrial Engineer to join the Industrial Engineering team in our Stuart, Florida aerospace manufacturing site. The Industrial Engineering department is responsible for performing advanced analysis on scheduled and forecasted demands, capacity analysis, reporting status of business operations, maintaining business KPIs, building recovery and operations plans to facilitate on-time delivery of products to the customers, maintenance of time standards, optimal build flows, and facility layouts.Job descriptionDevelop a site capacity plan, including headcounts, efficiency targets, and capacity assumptionsAnalyze and develop schedules and operating plans for productionCreate recovery plans to facilitate the on-time delivery of products to customersPerform analysis on product cycle, takt, and lead times to support rate readiness and recovery initiativesCreate, maintain, track, and distribute reports for business KPIsCompile reports for shop floor mechanics, shop floor management, and executive managementCreate tools and methods to measure and track shop floor milestonesConduct audits and support 5S initiatives in support of productionEstablish, revise, and maintain time standards in SAP for work orders and work order operationsConduct time studies, utilization studies, and other direct observation-based studies to update and improve time standardsAnalyze overall process effectiveness and compile reports on potential improvementsUtilize value stream mapping, process flow, and other Lean Manufacturing tools to identify bottlenecks and improve efficiencyAssist with planning and optimization of equipment layouts, floor space, work cells, workflow, and safety precautions in an industrial manufacturing environmentSupport project management for capital equipment acquisition, prepare cost estimates, timelines, and budgets for proposed projectsPerform cost analysis in support of business development and spare pricingPerform non-recurring engineering (NRE) activities for work transfer and business development proposals, including ROM impact estimates and unit hours to learning curve estimatesProcess engineering change packages for impact on budget and methods of manufacturePerform responsibilities and duties as assigned in alignment with SEED initiatives and IPT structureOther duties as assignedQualificationsMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Supply Chain Engineering from an accredited university5-7+ years of experience in Industrial EngineeringExperience working in an Aerospace manufacturing environment is required. Preferably at a low-rate manufacturing site.Basic proficiency with 2D/3D CAD SoftwareAdvanced proficiency with data and process analytics (PowerBI is a plus)Basic proficiency with generic programming languages (VBA, SQL, Python, C)Basic proficiency with database systems (SQL)Excellent communication and presentation skillsExcellent organizational, planning, and time management skillsAbility to train additional personnel in job dutiesStuart Florida Site Requirements:Pursuant to International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”), applicants for SELECT positions will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residence, or U.S. Immigration Status in order to meet the minimum qualifications for those select positions.
