We are seeking colleagues who embrace the idea of helping students achieve their goals, and approach academic excellence as evidenced in equity as a moral imperative.Delta College is looking for an adjunct instructor for the Surgical Technology program. Adjunct instructor will be responsible for teaching in-person section(s) at main campus and/or virtually. Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Understanding of and ability to work with a diverse student population Use of email, internet-based resources, and common Office software Ability to teach in a variety of formats, including incorporating online learning systems Understanding of ADA requirements and willingness to create accessible materials Effective interpersonal skills Understanding Delta Mission/Vision/Values Required Qualifications Associate degree in Surgical Technology Health-related Bachelor degree Graduate of an education program in surgical technology that is also accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification from the NBSAST BLS certification (current or upon hire) Minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years Additional Experiences Considered Teaching experience in a Surgical Technology Program preferred.
