Gymnastics Instructor

The Manchester Family YMCA is seeking part time energetic and experienced individuals to facilitate our gymnastics classes with the children in our gymnastics program This part time position starts at $13 per hour.

DUTIES of a Gymnastics Instructor

Gymnastics instructors will help develop and implement a safe and enjoyable gymnastics program. Gymnastics instructors should be available to work weekday evenings and weekends to help facilitate gymnastics practices, games and clinics. Ideal gymnastics instructors will be creating lesson plans for youth ages 5-11, purchasing necessary materials & providing leadership to other gymnastics staff.

QUALIFICATIONS of a Gymnastics Instructor

We are seeking gymnastics instructors with basic gymnastics knowledge and experience, including the ability to instruct and spot school-age children in basic gymnastics skills and a willingness to continuously learn and improve. Instructors should be able to observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and procedures to maintain a safe and supportive environment. Experience working with children in a gymnastics or movement-based setting is essential.

Instructors must have the physical ability to move equipment, up to approximately 100 pounds, with assistance, and be able to spot (catch or lift) children weighing approximately 100 pounds. Additionally, the visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and act swiftly in emergency situations is required. CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications are desired upon hire but not required.
