What You'll Get To Do: The Group Manager will establish and manage a development hub in North America, lead the development of new transparent conductive films, and enhance core technologies through collaboration with the Japan-based development team while addressing global customer needs. Establish and Manage North American Development Hub Create and manage an innovative development team in North America, positioning it as a key technology group. Set goals, scope, and deliverables, and manage budgets and resources, to achieve business objectives. Develop New Transparent Conductive Films and Initiate Potential Projects Establish a development environment capable of handling new inquiries and drive project initiation by leading internal cross-functional teams. Collaborate with Japan Development Team to Enhance Core Technologies Develop core technologies in response to market trends and customer requirements, integrating them into the technology roadmap through close collaboration with the Japan-based development team. What You'll Bring: Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Master’s or preferred. 10+ years of experience in technology development, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Proven track record in establishing and managing development teams and facilities. Extensive experience in the development of conductive films or related materials. Familiarity with global customer interactions and managing cross-functional projects. Competencies Leadership: Strong ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Project Management: Expertise in managing complex projects, from conception through to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high quality. Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of conductive film technologies and their applications. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans that align with organizational goals and market demands. Communication Excellent Communication Skills: Proficient in conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Cross-Cultural Communication: Experience in working with international teams, particularly in bridging communication between North American and Japanese teams. Customer Engagement: Ability to engage with global customers, understand their needs, and translate those into actionable development plans. Documentation and Reporting: Skilled in preparing clear, concise, and comprehensive reports, presentations, and documentation. Other requirements Approximately 10% travel domestic and overseas.
