Anesthesia Veterinary Technician

VCA Aurora Animal Hospital is growing its team and seeking aCertified Veterinary Technician to work closely with our Anesthesiologist Schedule:Full-time, 4 x 10 hour shifts.Compensation:$ 30 - $ 36 / hr, and the starting range is determined by license, skill set, and years of experience in the field.In this role, you’ll play a critical part in ensuring safe and effective anesthesia care for our patients, supporting complex procedures, and contributing to a collaborative medical team.Key Responsibilities:Assist the Anesthesiologist with patient preparation, induction, monitoring, and recovery.Monitor vital signs, anesthesia depth, and overall patient status during procedures.Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and medications according to hospital protocols.Support surgical and specialty teams as needed.Maintain accurate patient records and anesthesia logs.Provide compassionate care to patients and clear communication to clients regarding anesthesia procedures.Follow strict safety and infection control protocols.Qualifications:Certified Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT)Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Passion for providing high-quality patient care.Benefits of Joining VCA:VCA offers a comprehensive benefits package to support the health, well-being, and professional development of its associates.
