el Prado Hotel, Downtown Palo Alto520 Cowper St. Job title: Maintenance Technician Status: Full-Time/Hourly Pay Range: $24.00 to $28.00 per/hourThe ultimate mission of the hospitality Maintenance team will be to ensure our guests’ satisfaction by exceeding their expectations. The position is primarily responsible for maintaining the building, grounds, and mechanical equipment with particular attention towards safety and security. In addition, the role is accountable for performing maintenance tasks daily that are critical to providing an exceptional stay to each guest.Potential Career Paths:Engineering Supervisor - Chief Engineer - Director of Engineering - Area Chief Engineer - Regional Director of Engineering - Corporate Director of Engineering - VP of EngineeringKey Duties & Responsibilities: Maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance programCheck work orders and night report for any assignment to be completedPerform Preventive Maintenance work orders. For example:Monitor and maintain all laundry and kitchen equipmentMaintain guestrooms using rooms preventive maintenance programChange air-conditioning filters per the maintenance programCheck HVAC equipment: change filters, belts, bearings and lubricate as necessary. Also check for unusual noise or vibration, and adjust as necessaryChange or repair locks as neededPerform general maintenance to guestrooms and public areasPerform guest requests as assignedAssist in all phases of repair workAssist other engineering personnel as instructed by supervisorMaintain cleanliness and organization of the work areaMaintain the proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and storage of all tools. Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfacesEnsure security of any assigned keysAll other duties as assignedEducation and Experience:Clean and professional appearanceAbility to communicate clearly (Speaking and writing)Ability to utilize basic technology including a smartphone and a computerExperience in maintenance or building trades preferredCrestline Hotels & Resorts is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Affirmative Action Employer.
