Requirements / Qualifications Required Documents for Employment Consideration: To be considered for employment, the following items must be attached to a completed online application: • Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit or a valid California teaching credential. • Updated Resume • If you do not currently hold a permit, the district will assist with the application process. • Copies of transcripts showing a Bachelor’s degree (BA) or higher. • Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for initial application. • Official transcripts will be required upon an offer of employment. • TB Skin Test Results or Assessment completed within the last three years. Note: Applicants who do not hold a Substitute Teaching Permit or a valid California teaching credential must meet the minimum qualifications to apply for one. Qualifications for an Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit: • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Qualifications for an Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit for Prospective Teachers: • Completion of at least 90 semester units from a regionally accredited four-year college or university. • Current enrollment in a four-year college or university (verification letter required). • Passing CBEST scores or qualifying Basic Skills Requirement (BSR).
