Overview Senior Business Analyst, Commercial Fraud StrategySummary:The Commercial Fraud Strategy team plays the crucial role of protecting Capital One’s Commercial Banking clients from fraud in an ever changing environment. This team oversees the development and implementation of strategies, tools, and technologies to balance customer experience with fraud risks and losses.As a Senior Business Analyst, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to protect our customers from fraud. You will team with world-class professionals across product, technology, risk, and operations to deliver new and enhanced fraud defenses. And you will do it in a collaborative environment that values your insight, encourages you to take on new responsibility, promotes continuous learning, and rewards innovation. General Responsibilities:Analysis: Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendationsProduct: Perform modeling/analytics to assist new product strategies for various fraud productsRisk: Support step-change improvements in fraud risk by connecting drivers of future customer trends to historical behavior, testing hypotheses using rigorous analysisExecution: Involve problem frame-works, develop hypotheses, test and analysis, solution development, scope operational feasibility, lead implementation efforts and develop a monitoring planPartnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: Product, Sales, Tech, Operations, Finance, Risk and others to drive improvement in fraud defensesStrategic & analytic orientation: A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytics. Conceptual thinking skills must be complemented by a strong quantitative orientation, given that a large part of the business is based on rigorous analytics & risk managementStrong business judgement, leadership, and integrity: He/she should be a tenacious decision maker, able to bring a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to businessStrong communication skills: Impeccable written and oral communication credentials, coupled with strategic influencing skills and the ability to drive agreement through intellect, interpersonal and negotiation skillsClear results orientation: display an intense focus on achieving both short and long term goals.
