$140,000 $180,000/yr Schedule: Full-time Hybrid Central Texas Recruiting is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Lead to manage multidisciplinary design projects with a strong focus on healthcare facilities. This role combines technical leadership, project management, client relationships, team development, and business development while delivering complex HVAC and building systems designed around sustainability, resiliency, and energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multidisciplinary mechanical design projects within the healthcare sector Serve as Project Manager and Mechanical Lead for complex projects Coordinate project teams, disciplines, stakeholders, and code officials Design and oversee airside, hydronic, heating and cooling, and specialty exhaust systems Prepare drawings, specifications, technical reports, and presentation materials Develop and maintain strong client relationships Oversee proposals, bids, contracts, and commercial project requirements Mentor and supervise engineering staff Support hiring and team development initiatives Promote sustainable and energy-efficient building design Support business development and work-winning activities Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering Professional Engineering (PE) license in the U.
S. 12+ years of professional experience designing building HVAC systems Significant healthcare project experience, particularly inpatient critical care facilities Experience with airside and hydronic systems Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and managing large-scale client relationships Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, LEED, energy efficiency, and indoor environmental quality Demonstrated business development and work-winning experience Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills LEED Accreditation or WELL Certification preferred Experience with energy modeling and engineering analysis preferred
