Job Overview: The SAP Basis and MII Support Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the stability and performance of SAP systems with a strong focus on SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (MII) and Oracle Database administration. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration, SAP MII, and working with Oracle Database, ensuring seamless integration between SAP ERP, shop floor operations, and underlying database systems. Key Responsibilities: SAP Basis: Install, configure, and maintain SAP environments (ECC, S/4HANA, NetWeaver, Solution Manager, etc.). Perform SAP system monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to maintain high system availability. Conduct system upgrades, patching, and kernel upgrades for SAP systems. Manage and administer SAP Oracle databases (performance tuning, backups, space management, etc.). Perform regular database health checks and ensure timely backups and recovery strategies. Manage SAP transport management and perform system refreshes and migrations. Handle SAP security and authorizations, managing user roles and profiles. Ensure system compliance with SAP best practices, Oracle security standards, and industry regulations. Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams for network, storage, and database integration tasks. Oracle Database Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Databases used within the SAP landscape. Monitor and optimize Oracle DB performance, including query optimization and index management. Perform Oracle DB backups, restore and recovery processes to ensure data integrity. Monitor database growth and perform capacity planning to ensure adequate resources. Implement Oracle DB patches, upgrades and troubleshooting. Perform database migrations and cloning to support system refresh and DR activities. Collaborate with Oracle DBAs to ensure proper configuration, management, and tuning. SAP MII: Provide support for SAP MII systems, including configuration, customization, and integration with SAP ERP and shop floor devices. Develop SAP MII dashboards and KPIs to enhance real-time production visibility and control. Troubleshoot SAP MII integration issues with various MES and shop floor systems. Maintain and update SAP MII solutions, ensuring stable integration with Oracle DB. Implement enhancements and maintain SAP MII components such as business logic services and data services. Support & Incident Management: Provide technical support for SAP Basis, MII, and Oracle DB-related issues. Work with business users, functional teams, and developers to resolve incidents and optimize performance. Manage incidents and requests according to ITIL standards, ensuring adherence to SLAs. Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and implement corrective measures. Key Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in SAP Basis administration and Oracle Database management. Hands-on experience with SAP MII, including integration with manufacturing execution systems (MES) and shop floor systems. Expertise in Oracle Database administration (installation, tuning, backups, and recovery). Experience with SAP HANA (optional) and database migrations between Oracle and other DBs (if applicable). Strong understanding of SAP system architecture, NetWeaver, and Oracle Database internals. Proficiency with SAP transport management systems (CTS+) and troubleshooting tools. Knowledge of SAP security, roles, and authorization management. Understanding of ITIL-based service management (incident, problem, and change management). Preferred Qualifications: SAP Basis and/or MII certification. Oracle DBA certification. Experience with SAP MII integration with cloud-based solutions. Knowledge of PL/SQL scripting and SAP HANA database administration. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, automation systems, and real-time data monitoring.
