Alpharetta, United States Veeam Software Full time
Job DescriptionJob Description

Veeam®, the #1 global market leader in data protection and ransomware recovery, is on a mission to empower every organization to not just bounce back from a data outage or loss but bounce forward.

With Veeam, organizations achieve radical resilience through data security, data recovery, and data freedom for their hybrid cloud.

The Veeam Data Platform delivers a single solution for cloud, virtual, physical, SaaS, and Kubernetes environments that gives IT and security leaders peace of mind that their apps
and data are protected and always available.

Headquartered in Seattle with offices in more than 30 countries, Veeam protects over 450,000 customers worldwide, including 74% of the Global 2000, who trust Veeam to keep their businesses running.

Veeam's launch of the Veeam Data Cloud (VDC) in early 2024 marked a pivotal moment: combining our industry-leading platform's reliability with the simplicity of a cloud service. As the established leader in Microsoft 365 data protection with over 21 million users protected, VDC for Microsoft 365 has quickly become the fastest-growing solution in Veeam's history. By eliminating infrastructure complexity while delivering enterprise-grade protection, VDC creates a transformative path for Veeam's 450,000+ customers to modernize their data protection strategy.

Position Summary

Join us in driving one of Veeam's most strategic initiatives: accelerating customer adoption of the Veeam. As a Solution Engineer focused on transitioning customers from on-premises Microsoft 365 backup (VB365) to our cloud platform (VDC M365), you'll lead technical engagements that shape the future of data protection. Reporting to the WW On-Prem to Cloud Sales Leader, you'll partner with Sales Specialists and Renewals teams to help customers understand and embrace the technical advantages of cloud-native protection.

This quota-carrying, technical pre-sales role leads customer transformations from on-premises to cloud Microsoft 365 backup across 500 strategic accounts. Working alongside dedicated Sales Specialists and Renewals teams, you'll secure technical wins by architecting optimal cloud solutions and demonstrating clear migration paths for customers moving from on-premises to cloud.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive technical excellence across your territory to support revenue
  • Lead technical discussions that showcase long-term platform advantages rather than migration hurdles
  • Showcase the power of VDC M365 through compelling demonstrations and proof-of-value initiatives that accelerate customer decisions
  • Architect comprehensive VDC M365 solutions that maximize customer value through optimized backup policies, retention strategies, and streamlined migration approaches
  • Partner with Sales Specialists to articulate our technical advantages and help customers envision their cloud transformation journey
  • Build and maintain technical enablement resources that empower our Sales and Partner teams to win
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to shape product strategy and GTM approach

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of enterprise technical pre-sales experience, with proven success in cloud/SaaS solutions
  • Experience architecting backup and recovery solutions, preferably in Microsoft 365 environments
  • Deep technical expertise in Microsoft 365 data protection, M365 API, and cloud security
  • Proven track record of translating complex technical concepts into compelling business value
  • Strong history of cross-functional collaboration and relationship building with customers and internal teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of time

Benefits

  • Unlimited PTO
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits that start on day one
  • Flexible spending accounts
  • Life insurance and short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • Family planning support benefits, along with 100% paid maternity and parental leave
  • 401k match
  • Veeam Care Days – additional 24 hours for your volunteering activities
  • Professional training and education, including courses and workshops, internal meetups, and unlimited access to our online learning platforms (Percipio, Athena, O'Reilly) and mentoring through our MentorLab program.
