HANOVER TOWNSHIP Chief Deputy Assessor

The Chief Deputy Assessor is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day responsibilities of the Assessor's Office including supervising staff, managing tax appeals and exemption processes, and maintaining efficient and effective operation of the office.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Certified Illinois Assessing Officer (CIAO) highly preferred or achieve within one year.
  • Three to five years of experience working in property tax assessment is preferred.
  • Three years in a supervisory capacity is preferred.

Special Requirements:

  • Bilingual preferred

Starting salary is $65,000 (+/-) dependent upon candidates qualifications and experience, plus an excellent benefits package, 40 hour/week position.
