We are experiencing rapid growth and are now seeking a Sr. DevOps and Security Engineer to join the Bonfyre engineering team.


Requirements

  • Strong experience with AWS hosted infrastructure within RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and CodeDeploy as well as leveraging AWS tools ecosystems including Puppet, Terraform, and Docker
  • Strong experience with Python and Bash scripting
  • Experience managing relational database services such as MySQL
  • Experience with web hosting services such as Nginx and Apache
  • Experience configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines within Jenkins and Github Actions
  • Experience managing services written in Javascript, Node, and PHP
  • Experience with SOC 2 or similar security compliance

Responsibilities

  • Oversee AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and system performance to maintain high availability and reliability
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure and other engineering software costs where feasible while ensuring scalability and redundancy
  • Implement, optimize, and manage logging to effectively identify performance problems, code-related bugs, and security threats that are easily actionable by our developers
  • Champion a culture of security and performance and maintain and oversee Bonfyres information security protocols and controls for infrastructure, software development lifecycle, and company data and tools
  • Manage various tools to support Bonfyres security posture Vanta, Mosyle (MDM), identify management (Google Workspaces), Atlassian (BitBucket), etc.
  • Oversee all security certifications, assessments, and compliance including completion of IT risk assessments for prospective customers, penetration tests, and our annual SOC 2 Type 2 certification via Vanta

Compensation

  • Base salary commensurate with experience

  • $50/mo phone stipend
