This is a Full-Time position based in our state-of-the-art facility. Duties and Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive dental cleaning procedures, including scaling, root planing, and prophylaxis.
- Assess oral health conditions, review health history, oral cancer screening, and head and neck inspection.
- Document treatment plans and care performed for each patient.
- Apply sealants and fluorides to help protect teeth.
- Educate patients on oral health and preventive care techniques.
- Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Guide patients toward adopting healthy behaviors that promote dental health.
- Ensure the operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and managing malfunctions.
- Stay current with advances in dental hygiene by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies as directed by the dentist.
- Assist in the management of dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, knowledge of emergency drugs and equipment, and emergency protocols.
- Enhance practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Associate degree or higher in Dental Hygiene from an accredited college or university.
- Valid dental hygienist license in the state of practice.
- Current CPR certification.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a Dental Hygienist.
- Proficient in using digital dental radiography and intraoral cameras.
- Strong understanding of relevant health and safety regulations and ability to implement them in the work environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented and meticulous in carrying out dental assessments and ensuring accurate records.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks or patients without sacrificing quality and compliance with protocols.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and maintaining currency in field knowledge.
- Empathy and professionalism in patient dealings to enhance patient confidence and comfort.
- Strong organizational skills, capable of efficiently managing time and priorities.
