Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. This full-time position works day shifts, providing an excellent opportunity to work in a hospital setting with a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering high-quality patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients of all ages.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient needs and achieve therapy goals.
  • Provide therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, voice quality, and swallowing function.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, home exercises, and strategies to improve communication and swallowing.
  • Document patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes accurately in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuing education to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Provide training and support to hospital staff on communication strategies and dysphagia management when needed.


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of California.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a clinical or hospital setting preferred (new graduates with strong clinical experience may be considered).
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • CPR and BLS certification required.
