We seek a detail-oriented and organized Tax Paraprofessional to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the Audit and Tax Partners. Education Level: Minimum Associate's degree


Experience: We seek a detail-oriented and skilled Tax Paraprofessional/Bookkeeper to join our public accounting firm. In this role, you will support our accounting team by performing various bookkeeping tasks and assisting with financial record-keeping for our clients.

Qualifications: - Associate's degree in Accounting or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred) - 3-5years of bookkeeping or accounting experience - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Good communication skills, both written and verbal - Knowledge of basic accounting principles and tax regulations - Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel


Skills: - Experience working in a public accounting firm

- Knowledge of additional accounting software and tax preparation tools

- Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

- Bookkeeping certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper)


Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for clients

- Perform data entry of financial transactions into accounting software

- Reconcile bank and credit card statements

- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable

- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports

- Help with payroll processing and related tax filings

- Support senior accountants and CPAs in tax preparation tasks

- Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information

- Maintain organized and accurate client files - Adhere to firm policies, procedures, and deadlines
