We are looking to hire a skilled Carpenter with knowledge of various carpentry techniques. You will be responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures and fixtures in residential buildings. This role will install cabinets, shelving, drywall and insulation while also adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks and hinges. Other duties will include cutting and measuring materials according to a client's requirements. A successful Carpenter should be hardworking, reliable, and be detail oriented.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
• Cut, shape and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements.
• Build window frames, doors, staircases and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
• Assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves and other items and install them where designated.
• Inspect places and conduct repairs or maintenance.
• Build scaffolding, erect ladders, and other construction structures.
• Adhere to safety measures and all required PPE
• Finish and rough carpentry
• Touch up and punch list all required items as part of the scope of work
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace at all times
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program required.
• Proven experience as carpenter
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.
• Punchlist experience
• Completion of OSHA 10 or ability to complete
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel
• Enjoy dealing with people
• Willingness to do non-trade specific items
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
• Willingness to always follow safety guidelines.
• Strong understanding of basic math
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and be flexible across multiple projects
• Valid Driver's License and ability to work on a military installation and pass a background check

Pay & Benefits:

• Carpenter pay range: $25-$32 per hour.
• Actual pay depends on education, experience, and performance.
