Our focus is on supporting the schools in Onslow County, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Job Description:
The School BCBA will play a critical role in developing and implementing behavioral intervention plans tailored to individual student needs. The BCBA will collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure that these plans are effectively carried out. Additionally, the BCBA will provide training and ongoing support to school staff, promoting positive behavior and academic achievement among students.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors.
Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on FBA findings.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to implement and monitor BIPs, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
Provide training and support to school staff on behavior management strategies and evidence-based interventions.
Monitor and evaluate student progress, making necessary adjustments to interventions based on data and outcomes.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, interventions, and student progress.
Stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of behavior analysis to provide the most effective support.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) is required.
Experience working in a school setting is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
