ATS provides a wide array of professional and managed services from the data center to the desktop. ATS holds minority certifications in Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania and Virginia and is a Third-Party Certified Women Owned Small Business (WOSB). Applied Technology Services (ATS) seeking a full time PC Deployment Technician.
Must have your own driver’s license and transportation, and be able and willing to work full-time, onsite, in Baltimore County, MD. Must have the ability to move computer equipment and accessories more than 40 lbs. May require operation of company transport vehicles. Criminal background and reference checks are required.
Understanding of client/server operating system architectures, Internet operation, connectivity and integration at the workstation level and standard browser understanding, IEEE wiring standards, MS Outlook workstation configuration, including archiving and retrieval, as well as communication with Exchange.
Activities:
- Load assets from a central location, transfer, and unload at installation sites.
- Perform deployment activities on computer laptops and desktops including configuration, setup, drive mapping, printer mapping, peripheral setup, data transfers.
- Confirm required applications are installed, install additional applications as required and migrate data from the legacy system.
- Track all assets on forms provided.
- Troubleshoot issues and problems (i.e. hardware issues, drivers, etc.) and communicate results with management.
- Remove existing system, remove hard drives, document assets, and transport back to central warehouse.
- Must have an ability to work with minimal immediate supervision.
- Must have excellent customer service experience and skills.
Requirements:
- A+ certification REQUIRED
- 3 years’ experience deploying and/or maintaining client systems REQUIRED
- Must be experienced in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing system
- Experience with SCCM or similar systems management solution
- Ability to write business emails and support professional business communications
- Critical thinking skills to guide customers on equipment needs vs policy standards
- 2-year degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline DESIRED
