Day to day as a Flooring Division Warehouse / Field Associate

As a full-time Flooring Warehouse/Field Associate at Storr Office Environments in Raleigh, NC, you will play a crucial role in our operations from receiving products to managing inventory counts and assisting with deliveries. You will be involved in various tasks to ensure efficient workflow. Your responsibilities will include preparing materials for crew pickups, loading company vehicles, and collaborating with the team on job sites as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and communicating effectively when materials arrive. Requirements for this Flooring Division Warehouse / Field Associate job

Candidates must possess several key skills and qualities to excel as a Flooring Warehouse/Field Associate at Storr Office Environments in Raleigh, NC. Ideal applicants will demonstrate a positive attitude, be team-oriented, and exhibit strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues. While commercial flooring experience is preferred, individuals with similar backgrounds and mechanical aptitude will also be considered. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with the ability to pass a background check and drug screening. Candidates should be proficient in communication through various channels and be able to adapt to using Microsoft Office software.

Additionally, the role may involve heavy lifting and operating machinery such as forklifts and reach trucks, so physical capabilities and a willingness to learn new tasks are essential. Problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and multitasking capabilities are also key attributes for success in this dynamic role. The knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Good Attitude: Team Player. Team Mentality. Team Helper.
  • Commercial experience in the flooring industry is preferred, however will consider applicants with comparable experience and mechanical skills.
  • The ability to work 40 hrs to include a Monday-Friday schedule, one night a week, and weekends as needed.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Background check and drug screen required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills including email, text, and phone.
  • Heavy lifting (100 pounds), moving, unloading, etc... as required of an installer.
  • Computer literate in all Microsoft Office packages.
  • Ability to learn and perform tasks related to required machinery: Forklift, Reach Truck, and Picker.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, climbing, crouching, crawling.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to deal with pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Multitask abilities.
  • Self starter, able to work with little supervision as needed.
