Business Intelligence Architect – Cognos Developer | Chicago, IL (Hybrid

Join the corporate office of a well-known financial services company as a Business Intelligence Architect – Cognos Developer. In this hybrid role, you'll work 3 days per week onsite in our downtown Chicago location and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering data-driven solutions across the enterprise.

BI Architect Responsibilities:

  • Design and architect complex BI solutions tailored to unique client needs
  • Lead and mentor BI developers in creating high-impact reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos Analytics
  • Leverage data from cloud-based platforms like Snowflake to drive decision-making
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries
  • Develop architectural documentation and best practices for BI environments
  • Implement security protocols and role-based access controls
  • Manage Cognos upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning

BI Architect - Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in Cognos BI development/architecture
  • Expertise in IBM Cognos Analytics (11.x or later), including Framework Manager, Report Studio, and Dashboarding
  • Proficiency with Snowflake, Oracle, and SQL
  • Experience with Power BI, ThoughtSpot, and React is a plus
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
  • Strong JavaScript and CSS knowledge
  • IBM Cognos certifications preferred
  • Commute to this job's location
