Doctors on Duty in Salinas is now hiring full-time X-Ray Technicians at our Salinas clinics.
SUMMARY:
Under the limited supervision of the Clinic Manager, performs basic radiology tests and oversees the production of x-rays by other staff members. Maintains appropriate record system and coordinates consultation by radiologist. Trains other employees to perform selected x-ray tests.. May be required by Clinic Manager to provide x-ray tech coverage at multiple facilities within a single region (e.g., Salinas clinics & Monterey clinics).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
* Understands and manages the Radiology Policy and Procedure program, ensuring that all components of the program are up to date and within CDPH-RHB compliance.
* Maintains x-ray equipment in good working order and to manufacturer’s recommendations. With approval of Clinic Manager, schedules routine maintenance and calibration.
* Practices radiation protection techniques (ALARA) to minimize radiation to patients and staff in accordance with the Radiation Policy and Procedure Program.
* Performs all X-Ray Examinations.
* Assist in receiving and discharging patients.
* Maintains adequate supply of inventory of x-ray supplies. Orders and controls all x-ray supplies and materials in consultation with Clinic Manager and/or following Company's supply procurement policies. Checks and stocks all treatment areas each shift.
* Generates CD copies of exams after obtaining release form.
* Sterilizes and wraps equipment and instruments
* Answers phones and makes callbacks daily, as instructed by the Clinic Manager and clinic physicians.
* Maintains designated par levels for medical supplies and pharmaceuticals. Prepares orders for the Clinic Manager's review as requested and needed.
* Performs cleaning of treatment areas between patient exams as stipulated by clinic procedure.
* Attends staff meetings when scheduled by the Clinic Manager or other Senior Management. Attendance at staff meetings is mandatory. Attends required training sessions for front and back clinic staff.
QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft office and Internet Explorer.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Graduation from a state certified Radiology Technology program. Prior experience in a medical clinic setting as an x-ray technologist is preferred. Meeting the Company's minimum skills test is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Certificates Required:
* CRT: (CA) Certified Radiologic Technologist
* ARRT: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
* CPR: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
* Fluoroscopy Permit (California)
Valid California driver's license (to allow for travel between clinics) and minimum legal automobile insurance requirements.

Service: Patient First: Ensures 100% patient satisfaction and provides professional patient support. Explains procedures to patients to reduce frustration and anxiety and to obtain patient cooperation.
Attitude: Maintains a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward patients at all times. Communicates and coordinates with colleagues, as necessary, in a calm, courteous, and professional manner.
Language Skills: Must be able to use proper grammar in all verbal communications and proper grammar and spelling in all written communications.
Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Must be able to write routine notes, e-mail, reports and correspondence. Must be able to speak effectively with patients and co-workers. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
