Job DescriptionJob Description

Matric Group is seeking a technical and creative Power Electronics Design Engineer to become an integral part of the Matric Group team by contributing to the success of our customers and engineering group. As a Power Electronics Design Engineer you will design and test circuits to use in power electronics systems. Utilizing your Power Electronics Design education and/or experience you will also be responsible for the following:

  • Hardware design including microprocessor, analog and digital ICs.
  • Variable Frequency Drives and other power switching topologies.
  • SMPS, DC/DC converters, PFC, PSFB and ZVS.
  • DC link/bus capacitors, bus structure and low L construction.
  • Value based selection and support of power components.
  • Power magnetics core design or application knowledge.
  • Matlab, Simulink, Spice or other circuit simulation.
  • Capable of product design, support and provide test instructions.
  • Experience in EMI/EMC and certifications is favorable.
  • Thermal design and efficiency calculations.
  • Inverter and/or regenerative Principles
