Responsibilities
Client Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical conditions to determine the best massage techniques for their individual needs.
Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans that address specific sports-related injuries or muscle tension.
Massage Techniques: Perform various massage techniques, including deep tissue, sports, and Swedish massage, tailored to the client's requirements.
Client Education: Educate clients on proper stretching techniques, posture, and aftercare to enhance their recovery and performance.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of client treatments and progress to ensure continuity of care with SOAP notes.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists and trainers, to provide comprehensive care.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional education to stay updated with the latest advancements in massage therapy.
Requirements
We are looking for a therapist to work Sundays and Thursday afternoon/evening shift.
Certification: Must hold a valid Massage Therapy License (LMT) in Michigan. Any additional training or certification is a plus.
Experience: Previous experience in treating specific issues with massage or related therapy is highly preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to connect with clients and understand their needs.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and stand for extended periods.
Team Orientation: Willingness to collaborate with a supportive team focused on client care.
Passion for Wellness: A genuine commitment to promoting health and wellness among clients.
