Intern - Chemistry

Assist the Chemistry team with quality control and product development/improvement of sealants and adhesives in our manufacturing facility. The Chemistry Intern will be given the opportunity to complete a project of their own and will be encouraged to contribute ideas and suggestions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Learn how to initiate and manage a project and execute cross-departmental collaboration.
• Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to understand company and industry processes before taking action in the lab.
• Perform quality control tasks on incoming materials and finished products.
• Create documentation such as technical reports.

EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED

• A student actively seeking a post-secondary degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Ability to commute to our Monongahela, PA - this is a fully onsite role.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint preferred.
• Preference will be given to candidates with course work in material science, surface science or polymer chemistry.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and bend in a lab setting. Will need to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
• Lab experience from coursework or research required.
