Maintenance Supervisor

Areas of Responsibility
- Overall responsibility for repairs and maintenance of the plant’s assets.
- Responsibility for the welfare and management of the engineers.
- Set the priorities from the Maintenance Management System outstanding list in coordination with the department supervisors, organizing and delegating the work to the maintenance technicians. Follow up to ensure work was completed at a high standard.
- Effective decision making with respect to the cost of repairs.
- Strive to find better and more efficient ways of repairing and maintaining machinery.
- Actively engage with the operations team to develop a team approach to effective maintenance.
- Coach, mentor, develop and set goals for our engineers to realize their full potential.
- Provide weekend coverage as appropriate to the site schedule.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret written documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, factory orders, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: Able to use computers in troubleshooting, completing work orders and other related job duties.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years in a position in a corrugated manufacturing environment (Engineering) Preferred
- Proven experience in management/supervising positions.
- Good communication skills, able to work in a systematic and rigorous way.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Engineering qualifications (preferred)
- Mechanical, electrical & automation experience.
- Corrugator or Converting Manufacturing Process Experience.
- Passion for continuous improvement and strong will to deliver results.
- Sense of urgency & service oriented.
- Managerial skills
- SAP Experience
Job Specific Technical Requirements
