The CNC machinist will be required to accurately and efficiently machine parts according to print by choosing the appropriate sequence of operations and executing the best setup to meet blueprint dimensions and tolerances.

Essential Functions:

  • Set up and operate a machine utilizing a variety of lathes including vertical and horizontal.
  • Perform daily equipment start-up and clean-up of equipment.
  • Regular use of manual tools; Dial Calipers, Dial indicators, and OD/ID Mics to verify dimensions.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc and/or Fagor controls.
Requirements:

Competencies and Experience Needed:

  • 3 – 5 years of CNC machining experience required
  • Programming knowledge preferred for CNC Role – training available as well.
  • Large turning experience preferred.
  • Experience with Monarch, Leblond, and Niles manual lathes is beneficial.
  • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints & BOM’s.
  • Employees must adhere to company core values.

  • Overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Experience working with alloy steel.
  • Detail-oriented, demonstrated a high level of accuracy, and to work safely.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires physical capability which includes standing most of the time, lifting up to 50 pounds, and pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and reaching as needed.
  • The standard shift is ten hours per day, with steel-toe boots or shoes and safety glasses required.
