LJB offers challenging and rewarding assignments for co-op students and summer interns in our Charlotte, NC office. Students work with experienced engineers and are exposed to a variety of civil engineering challenges. They also get the opportunity to work on real world projects in a professional environment.

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING CO-OP ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work on job assignments related to area of engineering discipline while working on fall protection designs
- Perform routine tasks under close supervision using well established standards, procedures and drawings related to structural engineering, OSHA and ANSI.
- Students will be exposed to design processes as well as various office and field procedures
STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING CO-OP ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
Education:
- Must be an engineering major at an accredited university
- Must be entering their Junior or Senior year of college
Qualifications:
- Some project or design experience, through school or prior internships is preferred
- Understanding and prior use of design software required; Revit preferred
- Some travel may be required
- U.S. citizenship required
Physical:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Must be able to travel to various project sites
- Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas
