ED Patient Navigator - RN - Sign-on bonus eligible $15,000.00
Department : Emergency Department
Schedule: 4x10's 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
Location : Thomasville Medical Center - Thomasville, NC
The Patient Navigator is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for effectively communicating patient status and needs to healthcare teams, patients, and their families during their Emergency Department experience. This role serves as an ongoing resource, offering comfort, education, and direction throughout the decision, treatment, and disposition periods. The Patient Navigator collaborates closely with care team members to identify and sequence care that best meets patient needs.
In this position, the Navigator responds to a variety of healthcare-related inquiries, facilitating patient requests and providing clinical assistance as necessary. They ensure open, honest, and timely communication among all parties, fostering a supportive environment for patients and their families. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, a compassionate approach, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting, ensuring the consistent delivery of patient-, family-, and team-centered care.

Qualifications
Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
Experience : One year relevant experience, preferred.
Licensure/Certification :
Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
