Do you want to work as a(an) PICU RN PRN where your passion for creating positive patient interactions is valued? If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity. As a highly-skilled compassionate Pediatric ICU Nurse you will provide excellent patient care to pediatric patients in the critical care setting. In addition to providing care to these patients PICU RN’s offer support to the parents, with a focus on emotional encouragement and education. Our team works hard to support each other, we are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.
You will perform life-sustaining care for pediatric patients in the ICU.
You will be able to evaluate and document each patient’s response to interventions and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition.
You will have demonstrated knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and their clinical condition. This includes a sound knowledge of emergency medications.
You will educate parents on day-to-day operations/goals, treatment plans and at home care procedures.
One to two years of recent critical care experience preferred.
Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region. We serve southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and parts of Montana. Our facility has an ER, a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (one of two in Idaho), and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. We have the region’s only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children. Our 74-bed Behavioral Health Center offers inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults.
