Assistant teacher needed for a small Montessori Preschool Located in the Central District of Seattle.
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a self-motivated professional that is passionate about early education to join our team and help us maintain a friendly, inclusive atmosphere for all students. Ideally you will have the ability to grasp concepts easily, pay attention to detail and multitask.
You will assist the lead teacher in any way possible including but not limited to:
Preparing and setting up activities.
Implementing portions of the daily program as directed by the lead teacher.
Keeping the classroom, and storage areas clean, neat, and orderly.
Diapering and potty training.
Maintaining communication with parents and meeting with staff on a regular basis.
Help maintain student records of behavior and progress.
Keep parents up-to-date on their child's development and learning.
Ability to control a classroom of 12-20 students (with assistance)
