Pay From: $17 per hour

MUST:
Experienced Medical Receptionist
2+ years of experience as a Medical Receptionist / Front Desk
2+ years of experience working front desk in a busy practice
Experience working in Dermatology / Plastics / Surgical highly preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills; friendly and engaging self-starter that works well in high pressure situations
Experience with electronic medical record systems
Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent typing and accurate documentation of patient encounter
Ability to prioritize telephone encounters and schedule patients with all necessary follow-up and ancillary appointments
Must be detail oriented
Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
Ability to problem solve
Ability to travel to other locations if needed

DUTIES:
Greet incoming patients using friendly, respectful communication
Answers incoming cosmetic phone calls
Obtaining and documenting up to date demographic information for patients, including updated insurance information, license information, etc.
Schedules all cosmetic appointments (consultations and procedures)
Tasks charts for review weekly to providers that oversee procedures
Overseeing the schedule for the cosmetic provider: reschedule, cancel procedures, and adjusts schedules
Working with the clinical team on messages and prior authorizations for prescriptions
Prep cosmetic encounters for upcoming appointments with correct codes, cost, and discounts
Accept patient payments and document accordingly
Maintain accurate transaction batches on credit card machine
Assist billing office with problem resolution as necessary
Process patient referrals and obtain prior authorization as necessary
Make patient aware of any unusual delay in their appointment time
Answer incoming telephone calls using pleasant phone voice and proper telephone etiquette
Other duties as assigned
