Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPerform all tasks involved in the cremation process, such as:
- Receiving remains, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate
- Visual identification
- Caring for the deceased in a respectful manner
- Adheres to all professional, municipal, state/provincial and federal licensing authority regulations applicable to the cremation of human remains
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures
- Maintains chain of custody paperwork
- Completes all required documentation
- Concurrently maintains day sheet, oversees day to day operations, obtains Funeral Directors License, maintains equipment in safe operating condition
- Promotes safe work environment by being aware of and practicing universal precautions and adopting general principles of safe conduct
- Maintains crematorium and its equipment
- Deliver/release cremated remains to appropriate funeral home or proper authority
- Other duties as directed by management
