The Sanitation Lead will oversee the nightly sanitation program, thoroughly cleaning and preparing all production areas for the next shift. This role involves managing a sanitation team, enforcing strict safety and sanitation protocols, handling chemicals responsibly, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in Spanish, possess strong leadership and organizational skills, and be able to work the night shift. This role is critical in maintaining high food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sanitation Management: Oversee the nightly sanitation program, ensuring thorough cleaning of all production areas.
- Quality Assurance: Validate sanitation processes to meet stringent food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation, including the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
- Team Leadership: Lead and supervise the sanitation team, providing training and guidance on cleaning techniques and safety protocols.
- Chemical Management: Ensure proper storage, handling, and usage of cleaning chemicals.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including GMPs and HACCP.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless production transitions.
- Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and improve sanitation procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sanitation, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, including GMPs and HACCP.
- Ability to work night shifts and manage a team effectively.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in an environment with allergens such as flour, milk, and nuts.

- Moderate to High Noise Level
