Job Opportunity: Web Developer/Designer & Digital Marketer
Location: Plymouth, MI (In-Office)

We are a growing Marketing & Advertising company based in Southeast Michigan, seeking a local, experienced Web Developer/Web Designer. The ideal candidate will have a diverse skill set, including web development, web design, social media management, and expertise in digital marketing (AdWords, SEO, and more). Please note: Applications will only be considered from candidates currently located in Southeast Michigan.

 

Job Responsibilities

As our Web Developer/Web Designer, you will:

  • Design, develop, and maintain websites that are visually appealing, user-friendly, and aligned with client specifications.

  • Work with WordPress and Joomla, including creating and customizing pre-built templates (e.g., Divi Themes).

  • Perform ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting for existing websites.

  • Manage hosting servers, C-Panel, and domain/email setup for clients.

  • Develop websites using HTML, CSS3, PHP, and CMS platforms.

  • Optimize websites for SEO and improve performance metrics.

  • Support digital marketing initiatives, including Google Ads, social media management, and email marketing campaigns.

  • Assist in content creation, including copywriting, graphic design, and video editing.

  • Collaborate with the team on marketing and advertising strategies to enhance service offerings.

  • Research and propose innovative solutions to enhance website features or address technical challenges.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

Web Development & Design Skills

  • Proficiency in WordPress and Joomla, including customization of CMS themes and plugins.

  • Experience with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and usability standards.

  • Strong understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS3, and C-Panel management.

  • Knowledge of WordPress security best practices.

  • Proficiency and familiarity with web hosting services and email setup for clients.

  • Ability to research and implement creative solutions for unique design or database challenges.

 

Digital Marketing & Social Media Skills

  • Experience managing SEO, Google AdWords, and Google My Business accounts.

  • Expertise in managing social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

  • Creative skills for content creation, including graphic design and video editing.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, and project tracking tools.

 

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Web Development, Marketing, or a related field (or 3+ years of relevant experience).

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Experience with client relationship management and strategic planning.

 

Position Details

  • Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (Average 30–35 hours per week)

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day shift

  • Salary: $22.00–$25.00 per hour

  • Work Location: Plymouth, MI (in-office)
