Commercial Billing Specialist

The Commercial Billing Specialist will work with project teams, warehouse associates, and other administrators to provide accurate and timely billing in accordance with client needs. SCI Floor Covering, Inc. provides and installs floor covering to corporate, tenant-office, hospitality, education, healthcare, multi-family, homebuilder, and insurance restoration markets.

Responsibilities

·         Prepare customer invoices in accordance with client contracts; AIA / percent complete billing where required. Work with project team to research and resolve billing issues

·         Job cost appropriate projects in accordance with the monthly accounting cycle

·         Maintain customer and project files internally and in 3rd party billing systems

·         Coordinate requests for insurance certificates, supplier waivers, and other required project documents

·         Prepare certified payroll and MSHDA documents where required

·         Related ad hoc tasks

Qualifications

·         2 - 4 years’ experience with customer billing or in an accounting function; Construction and/or progress billing experience strongly preferred

·         Excellent math skills

·         Proficient in Microsoft office especially Microsoft Excel and Outlook

·         Understanding of basic bookkeeping principles & practices

·         Ability to prioritize and meet both internal and customer deadlines

·         File maker and job costing software knowledge a plus
