Job Description:
We are seeking an accomplished Technical PM/PMO Leader with expertise in both project management and customer success to join our team. In this multifaceted role, you will lead our Project Management Office (PMO) while also ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. Your PMP and Agile certifications, combined with your customer-centric approach, will drive efficient project delivery and foster strong client relationships. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing project management processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices, all while delivering outstanding customer experiences.
Key duties:
Project Initiation:
- Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria.
- Identify project stakeholders and establish communication channels.
- Create a project charter outlining the project's purpose and goals.
Project Planning and Management Solutions:
- Develop detailed project plans, including tasks, timelines, and dependencies.
- Allocate resources, both human and technical, to project tasks.
- Create risk management plans to identify and address potential issues.
- Define technical requirements and specifications.
Team Management:
- Assemble project teams, assign roles, and set expectations.
- Foster collaboration and effective communication among team members.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
Task Execution and Monitoring:
- Oversee the execution of project tasks according to the plan.
- Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and address deviations.
- Ensure technical deliverables are meeting quality standards.
Risk Management:
- Continuously assess and manage technical risks and issues.
- Implement mitigation strategies to minimize potential problems.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges as they arise.
Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, team members, and management.
- Provide technical updates, progress reports, and issue resolutions.
- Translate technical information into clear, understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders.
Scope Management:
- Define and manage the technical scope of the project.
- Review and approve changes to technical requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish quality standards for technical deliverables.
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure technical solutions meet requirements.
- Implement quality control processes to catch and address defects.
Budget and Resource Management:
- Manage the allocation of technical resources within the project budget.
- Monitor technical expenses and ensure efficient resource utilization.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.
- Document technical specifications, decisions, and changes.
- Compile technical documentation for post-project reference.
Vendor and Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with external vendors to ensure technical solutions align with project goals.
- Manage relationships with technical stakeholders and address their needs.
Adaptation and Problem Solving:
- Quickly adapt to changing technical requirements or unforeseen challenges.
- Implement solutions to technical issues in a timely manner.
Post-Project Review and Learning:
- Evaluate technical aspects of project outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
Technical Expertise:
- Apply deep technical knowledge to guide decision-making and problem-solving.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members.
Decision Making:
- Make informed decisions about technical solutions, tools, and approaches.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for technological innovation to enhance project outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing new technologies and processes.
Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure strategic project planning, execution, and control.
- Collaborate with department leaders to define project objectives, prioritize initiatives, and align projects with company goals.
- Apply PMP and Agile methodologies to develop structured project management approaches that meet scope, time, and budget requirements.
- Utilize Agile principles to foster collaboration among cross-functional teams and adapt to changing project needs.
- Set project timelines, assign tasks to team members, and monitor progress to ensure milestones are met.
- Analyze financial data, project budgets, and resource allocation, providing accurate financial reports and budget outlines to executives.
- Develop and enhance PMO policies, processes, and standards to optimize project delivery efficiency.
- Evaluate project performance against established metrics, ensuring adherence to budgets, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Document project details, including scope, budget, and justification, to facilitate effective project tracking and reporting.
Customer Success:
- Build and cultivate strong relationships with customers, understanding their unique needs and business goals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with customers to develop tailored success plans, aligning our solutions with their evolving objectives.
- Leverage your customer-centric approach to provide expert guidance and support, addressing customer challenges and maximizing solution value.
- Conduct regular check-ins and reviews with customers to assess satisfaction, identify growth opportunities, and gather valuable feedback.
- Utilize customer feedback to drive continuous improvements in our products/services and enhance the overall customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, Project Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- PMP and Agile certifications are required, with a strong preference for candidates holding both certifications.
- Proven experience in project management, implementing PMP and Agile methodologies to deliver successful projects.
- Thorough understanding of CMMI and ISO standards, with the ability to integrate best practices into project management processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and customers.
- Analytical mindset to analyze project financial data, risks, and performance metrics.
- Proficiency in project management software tools and applications.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and meet project milestones.
- Customer-centric approach with the ability to build strong relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
- Prior experience in a PMO leadership role and customer success management is a plus.
